Great Taste
Our 12th annual Taste of Guelph was held on a spectacularly sunny September Sunday afternoon. Close to 650 guests were in attendance, sampling a multitude of delicacies and beverages. Ticket sales for this beloved event (a joint fundraiser with our friends at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation) have increased 25% in the last two years! This year, more than $46,000 was raised, net of expenses. We will be using our share of the proceeds to purchase equipment for our Medical Units. While they may not have the TV-style glamour of the operating room or the joyful drama of our birthing unit, so many people in Guelph would be lost without our Medical Units. People with cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney failure and more come here when they need help getting better.
